Welcome to my first blog entry for Ultrasonic Subliminals. My name is Shannon Matteson, and I am the owner and general manager. I’m the one who creates the subliminal programs you see for sale in the store, and you’ll probably talk to me if you send us a message.
I’m not exactly very well versed in blogging just yet, so this is actually my second attempt. My first attempt accidentally overwrote my home page (the store), which meant I had to take it down, find my mistake, and fix it. It wasn’t hard; I had just not seen the checkbox that prevents that from happening, the first time. So here we are.
I’m working on making the store fully automated right now. As things stand, when you order something, it pops up in my paypal account and I then begin the process manually. If the title you order has a duplicating master created for it, the process of filling your order is very simple. I just tell my manufacturer that we need a copy to be shipped to you. If you order something that the 3rd generation duplicating master hasn’t been created for, however, I immediately drop what I am doing (probably building some other title) and build what was ordered. The build process goes something like this:
First, I look for the first generation script. (The second generation technology was superseded before I could finish implementing it, because of a breakthrough discovery.) If there is a script in our records for the first generation version of that program, I load it up, adjust it for all the new stuff I now know, and then save it.
The second stage is for me to record the script. Depending on the specifics of the title being built, the script may be recorded in a male voice, a female voice, or both. Then, I listen to the recording, to make sure there are no problems. If there are, I either record again or fix them some other way.
Once I have the script recorded, I have what are known as the “base files”. The base files are then manipulated and adjusted in a series of ways that are trade secrets, but the end result is what we call a “T-Base”. The T-Base file is what I make the subliminal tracks from.
The next stage of building a 3rd generation dual format subliminal is to create the ultrasonic subliminal track. To do this, we have to go through another series of secret steps. The result is the ultrasonic subliminal file, which I then save.
Once the ultrasonic has been built, I start working on the masked subliminal. To build this one, I load up our recording of the ocean surf and the T-Base file, and vocode the T-Base using the ocean recording. Vocoding means we shift the volume of the T-Base file according to the shifts in volume of the ocean surf file. Once the vocoding is finished, we set the volume difference between the the two to the exact specific difference that allows the subliminal messages to be most effective, and then we save the whole thing to a second file.
Now that we have both subliminals, I go through one more quality check, and then I create the duplicating master. The duplicating master gets checked for problems, and then I label it.
From there, I begin the process of sending it to my production facility. I specify the title, copyright information, and so on, and then I create the graphics images that will be the cover of the package, the cover of the disc and the insert. Then I begin sending it. Once it has been sent, it is ready for me to ship to you. I then place an order for you, and the rest is handled by the production facility, who duplicates the master disc, prints it, packages it, wraps it, and ships it to you.
The downloadable versions are built at the same time as the CD versions are. When I save the subliminal files for making the duplicating master with, I also save a copy in .mp3 format. The .mp3 format I create is done in a special way, which allows the subliminal data to stay present in the file. You would not get the same results from ripping one of the subliminal CDs yourself. These are not ripped; they are saved as .mp3’s through a special process.
Once the .mp3 files are saved, I go in and adjust them for name and such, and then create a compressed archive of them, along with the instructions in both .doc and .pdf format. Then I name the archive, and upload it to my download server. From there I link it to the product on my website (Ultrasonic Subliminals) as soon as I can. (Currently have a bit of a backlog on that, though…)
My goal is twofold:
1. To get all the titles translated across as 3rd Generation as quickly as possible, and
2. To set things up so that when you order, you can choose what and how many you’d like to order and then place your order yourself, directly through the manufacturing company’s system. This will allow you freedom from PayPal, if you cannot or choose not to use them. You’ll be able to use a credit or debit card, instead; and, if you want to use PayPal, you can use the virtual credit card they offer, too. (PayPal’s virtual credit card is how I pay for orders that are being placed, actually.) It will save time for your order, because I would not have to check and place the order once a day.
Downloads are always instant, of course.
I’d love to know what you think of my ideas, and hear any ideas you might have.
